About the Awards
In its second year, the ARN Emerging Leaders Forum provides a program that identifies, educates and showcases the upcoming talent in the Australian ICT industry. The vendor award recognises high potential individuals who are currently working at an ICT vendor- hardware, software, services, cloud or telecommunications.
In response to his nomination: "It's a great feeling to be shortlisted for the Vendor award. To be nominated alongside colleagues from our partner Veeam is testament to the innovative products and services we provide to MSPs and end users for their data management. We're excited to have this industry recognition as a continuation of what has been a successful and productive year so far for Probax. "
Probax began in 2006 when Managing Director and Founder Kevin Allan left a role as an IT Manager for a Mining company. With this aptitude for 'prospecting', Probax (formerly known as Corporate Backup) began. Since then, the company has grown steadily and now employs 10 people and hosts some 150 PB of restore points in its six data centres across Australia, South Africa and North America.
With a vision to help their clients master the art of the backup, Kevin created the Probax Control platform from scratch. His first success in the ICT industry was to go beyond previous solutions in not only seeking a backup solution, but going further to create a purpose built end-to-end backup and Disaster Recovery suite.
His subsequent success has been enabling partners to use their backup software of choice depending on their clients’ requirements. Moreover, fostering strong relationships with StorageCraft and Veeam, the two major backup vendors in Australia.
Award winners will be announced at a ceremony in Sydney on May 16th.
